Meeting recap: Short term rental meeting with EPSTRA and Councilwoman Isabel Salcido
The EPSTRA and Councilwoman Isabel Salcido held a short-term rental meeting on Saturday, Sept. 30. During this event, El Paso short-term rentals and safety protocols, best practices, and good neighborliness were discussed. If you missed the event, below is a brief recap of what happened:
- Announcement of the approval of the pilot program by City Hall this past August.
- Introduction of a step-by-step guide for reporting concerns in STR (short-term rental) properties.
- Proposal to include some form of distinctive signage to identify properties belonging to the alliance, such as stickers or a logo that is easy to spot.
- Explanation of the alliance’s mission.
- Presentation of WYND TECHNOLOGY and the SENTRY device for detecting noise and smoke.
- Introduction of the discount code for alliance members.
- Councilwoman Salcido offered the attendees a tour of The Beast Urban Park, where the public meeting took place.
